New York City Guide

New York City Guide

The west coast is our home, but when fall weather hits there’s nowhere we’d rather be than New York. This month, we’ve gathered some of our favorite haunts in the city and beyond, dining, hotels and wellness.

DINING

Happier Grocery

The east coast answer to Erehwon, this gourmet market in Soho is a haven for health-conscious foodies. This beautiful curated grocer has everything from organic produce and artisanal baked goods to clean beauty. Plus, it’s the perfect place to restock UDEA in person!

Sadelle’s

Our favorite breakfast in the city from Rich Torrisi, with new school approaches on old school fare like the Waldorf Salad and Pigs in a Blanket. LA might be having a bagel renaissance but truly nothing compares.

Il Buco

In a city of incredible restaurants, this one is truly special. A beautiful Mediterranean fusion of Italian and Spanish influences that delivers the best of both worlds.

Torrisi

Helmed by acclaimed chef Rich Torrisi and housed in the iconic Puck Building in downtown Manhattan, Torrisi Bar & Restaurant is the spectacular new Italian restaurant from the creative forces at Major Food Group.

Via Carota
Via Carota is the West Village osteria of celebrated downtown chefs Rita Sodi and Jody Williams. Renowned for its simple, seasonal menu, Via Carota serves Italian food reminiscent of home in a spirit of relaxed care and warmth.

HOTELS

Inness

A gorgeous haven nestled between the Catskill and Shawangunk mountain ranges in upstate NY, striking the perfect balance between Scandinavian chic and rustic Americana.

The Greenwhich Hotel

The Greenwich Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel in Tribeca, NYC, opened by Robert De Niro in 2008. It features 88 uniquely designed rooms blending Moroccan, Japanese, and Italian styles. Known for its serene Shibui Spa, housed in a 250-year-old Japanese farmhouse, the hotel offers wellness treatments and a pool. Locanda Verde, its Italian restaurant, serves rustic cuisine by chef Andrew Carmellini. The hotel is praised for personalized service, attention to detail, and an intimate, stylish atmosphere, making it a favorite among celebrities and discerning travelers.

Aman New York

East meets West, and tradition blends with modernity at Aman New York, housed in Manhattan’s iconic Crown Building. The original architectural grandeur is seamlessly merged with Aman’s signature harmonious design, bringing serene tranquility to the heart of midtown. The hotel boasts a year-round Garden Terrace, the flagship Aman Spa, and some of the city’s largest, most spacious suites.

WELLNESS

Gravity East Village
Gravity East Village is a wellness center in NYC specializing in colon hydrotherapy sessions. They  take a practical approach to cleansing.

Shibui Spa
Their philosophy is one of balance—balance between the traditional and the modern and between nature and city. To enter Shibui is to be embraced by wood, water, and stone—much of it with a storied past—and the treatments are rooted in the same simplicity and reverence for nature.

Remedy Place
Conceptualized by Dr. Jonathan Leary, Remedy Place is on a journey to empower people with the tools and education they need to take their health into their own hands.

The Well
Bringing together multiple healing practices under one roof, our flagship location is your one-stop shop for wellness — delivering personalized care that addresses your mind, body and spirit.
